University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Dorsey Station, MD, for the Social & Behavioral Sciences & Gerontology program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (ANTH 101) course. This course is a survey of social and cultural principles inherent in ethnographic descriptions, with the objective of applying anthropological knowledge of human behavior to everyday situations and problems. The adjunct faculty role involves actively engaging students, guiding them in collaboration and application of learning, providing constructive feedback, demonstrating subject-matter expertise, and connecting concepts across their academic program. New faculty members are required to complete a two-week online new faculty orientation.
