About The Position

Adjunct Faculty refers to an educator hired to teach on a course by course basis throughout an academic year. This position involves teaching three semester credit hours per 7-week term in a fully online competency-based education (CBE) format, specifically supporting Hospitality Management courses at East Texas A&M University. The role requires responding to student inquiries within 24 hours, providing timely feedback, and adhering to standard course syllabi.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hour in Hospitality Management OR a terminal degree.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials.
• College or University teaching experience.
• Evidence of teaching excellence.
• Prior relevant industry experience in hospitality management.
• Online or hybrid teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach three semester credit hours per 7-week term in the fully online competency-based education (CBE) format supporting the Hospitality Management courses.
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Facilitate courses by adhering to the standard course syllabus as provided by the Undergraduate Department Head.
• Prepare and evaluate course assignments and examinations.
• Other duties as assigned.
