Coppin State University is seeking Adjunct faculty in the following disciplines for the Fall 2026 academic semester: Department of Mathematics and Computer Science Mathematics • MATH 131 – College Algebra • MATH 132 – Precalculus • MATH 203 - Basic Statistics Computer Science • Introduction level programming courses Cybersecurity Engineering • Intro level courses Department of Humanities Freshman English • English 101 • English 102 Speech • SPCH 105 Art Theatre Philosophy History Department of Natural Sciences Chemistry • CHEM 101 – General Chemistry I • CHEM 103 – Chemistry for Health Science Biology • BIO 201 • BIO 203 – Human Anatomy & Physiology I and II Physical Science • PHSC 102 – Earth and Space Science • PHSC 103 – Environmental Science

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate a commitment to students.
• Ability to work in a highly diverse environment.
• Provide a positive student-centered atmosphere with patience and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide a student-centered learning environment which enables students to attain success.
• Remain current with trends, techniques, and advances in technology that are applicable to the program.
• Maintain open and timely communication with students and the University.
• Provide students with appropriate guidance regarding academic excellence and attendance.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Dean or Chair.
• Maintain and submit accurate and timely reports for student grades.
