About The Position

Stanbridge University is seeking clinically experienced nursing professionals to provide adjunct instruction in its Vocational Nursing program. The role supports weekend clinical rotations, simulation activities, and hands-on nursing skills instruction across multiple campuses. Assignments may include clinical supervision, bedside instruction, simulation facilitation, nursing skills validation, and laboratory-based teaching aligned with program and accreditation standards. Instructional areas include Fundamentals, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics (Maternal–Newborn Nursing), Pediatrics, and Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing. Assignments depend on clinical expertise, regulatory requirements, campus needs, and faculty availability. Consistent weekend availability throughout the academic term is prioritized. The position primarily supports Saturday and Sunday clinical rotations and weekend skills laboratories, with occasional evening or supplemental instruction based on program needs. Schedules may vary by term, specialty, and clinical placement. Work may take place at campuses in Irvine, Alhambra, San Marcos, or Riverside, and candidates may indicate location preferences. Instruction takes place in clinical, laboratory, simulation, and classroom settings. The work involves frequent interaction with students, faculty, patients, and healthcare staff, and may require standing for extended periods, walking, demonstrating nursing skills, supervising clinical activities, and lifting or moving instructional equipment. Faculty must communicate effectively, observe student and patient-care activities, and use computers, instructional technology, and electronic documentation systems. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the university does not provide employment-based immigration sponsorship. Employment offers are contingent on a background check, and work experience will be verified. Official transcripts are required before hire. Non-U.S. degrees must be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation service. A job-related assessment may be required during the interview process. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
