About The Position

The Department of Counseling & School Psychology seeks a diverse pool of part-time Adjunct Faculty to teach graduate courses at the Miami Shores campus, off-campus sites, and online. Courses may be delivered asynchronously online, in hybrid format, or face-to-face, and terms last seven, 10, or 16 weeks depending on the program. Class times vary; courses generally meet for three hours once a week, on weekdays or Saturdays, usually in the evening. Adjunct Faculty consult with their respective Program Directors on course development and delivery and fulfill additional responsibilities described in the faculty handbook. Those teaching fully online must complete Barry University’s Online Instructor training. Barry University offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees. Requirements

Master’s degree required.
Applied experience in the field required.
Licensed Counselor (LMHC or MFT) and a master’s degree in mental health required for the specified counseling teaching area.
Doctoral degree required for PhD or EdD courses.
Level II clearance required.

Nice To Haves

Doctoral degree preferred for MS/EdS courses.
Prior college-level teaching experience with adult student populations preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach graduate courses in the Department of Counseling & School Psychology.

Fulfill additional responsibilities outlined in the faculty handbook.
Complete Barry University’s Online Instructor training if teaching in a fully online modality.
