About The Position

The Department of Philosophy and World Religions is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach various world religions classes. These may include introductory surveys of World Religions, Intro to the Bible, Spirituality and Healing, Spirituality and Nature, and Religion in America. Some courses are offered online, but candidates with the ability to teach in person are preferred. More information about the department's majors and programs can be found on their website.

Requirements

  • At least a Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness
  • Graduate transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous university-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates who can teach in person are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach various world religions classes, including World Religions (introductory survey), Intro to the Bible, Spirituality and Healing, Spirituality and Nature, and Religion in America.
  • Teach courses online or in person, with a preference for in-person instruction.
  • Be assigned courses by the College of Department on an as-needed basis.

Benefits

  • Minimum of $2,225 per credit (after 9/1/2026) for all courses taught.
