About The Position

This Adjunct Faculty position involves teaching a Visual Art course focused on video as a medium for Fine Art. Students will explore creating and editing video content that aligns with artistic expression, including producing videos that convey narratives, present conceptual works addressing critical social issues, and/or highlight artistic portfolios. The emphasis is on developing technical and creative skills in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production techniques, to craft compelling content that resonates with online audiences and elevates artistic practice. Requirements

  • A Master's degree -MFA in Visual Arts or related field is required.
  • 1-3 years of teaching experience.
  • Effectively plans and manages the full lifecycle of video projects—from concept development and production scheduling to editing and final critique—while keeping students on track with clear milestones and efficient use of time and resources.
  • Communicates creative concepts and technical processes clearly through engaging instruction, critique, and written feedback, guiding students in articulating and refining their ideas in video art.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom material clearly and effectively.
  • Create a unified, comprehensive syllabus in accord with the College of Arts & Sciences format.
  • Create a course Canvas site as per the College of Arts & Sciences format
  • Create, administer, and evaluate exam papers and or projects.
  • Hold one office hour per class/per week to address student questions and/or issues.
