About The Position

Walsh University is seeking qualified candidates to teach studio art courses in the General Education program at Walsh University. Courses may include – Drawing, Visual Order (2D Design), Watercolors, and Painting. Candidates may teach 2-3 classes per semester.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate an understanding the Walsh University Statement of Faith and a commitment to support the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University in accordance with Ex Corde Ecclesiae and the Catholic intellectual tradition
  • Master’s Degree required with at least 18 hours in studio art
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff and faculty.
  • Positive attitude a must.
  • Read, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with students/co-workers/others, giving and receiving instructions, using phones
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner

Nice To Haves

  • MFA preferred.
  • Demonstration of teaching experience preferred.
