NHTI is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach EDU211/TECP67 Reading and Language Development for the Spring 2027 semester. This course focuses on assessing and addressing student literacy skills, exploring the language development process, and utilizing various assessments to identify learners' needs. Students will engage in data-driven decision-making to plan interventions and will examine research-based methods for teaching phonics, vocabulary, spelling, fluency, reading comprehension, and writing. The course emphasizes guiding students in developing effective strategies for reading, writing, speaking, and listening, with a focus on authentic, evidence-based, differentiated instruction aligned with common core standards.
