About The Position

The Department of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Texas A&M University–San Antonio is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member in Psychology. The role requires teaching only. Courses may be scheduled during the day, in the evening, or on weekends, depending on departmental need. Most courses are offered in person. Finalists must provide three current, original letters of recommendation, dated within the past year and bearing the writer’s actual signature. Before an appointment letter is issued, official transcripts must be sent directly from each degree-granting institution to the Office of Academic Affairs. Candidates with international transcripts are responsible for arranging translation and evaluation by an approved credential evaluator. Selected candidates must pass a pre-employment background investigation, and employment is contingent on verification of credentials and completion of a criminal history check. Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume or CV, and professional references. Requirements

Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
Teaching experience.
Broad training in psychology.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Strong self-discipline and ability to work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
Ability to interact with students from multicultural backgrounds.
Provide a cover letter, resume or CV, and professional references.
