About The Position

This is a general purpose, Adjunct Faculty pool for use across multiple departments. Applicants in this pool may or may not be considered. This pool will remain open until June 2027 unless positions are no longer needed. Applications will be reviewed and candidates will be contacted and as needed. If at any time you decide that you are no longer interested in being considered, you may log in to the system and withdraw your application from the pool. Typically at the end of the year (or at any point we no longer have a hiring need for this department), we will close this pool and you will receive an email notification.

Requirements

  • Education dependent upon position requirements.
  • Experience dependent upon position requirements.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the subject area taught.
  • Knowledge of computer applications for communication and learning, including, but not limited to, word processing, the Internet, multi-media presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development.
  • Knowledge of the community colleges' mission, role in higher education, and student population.
  • Knowledge of sensitivity to a diverse student body and its needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse students, staff, and community members.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience or potential for innovation and creativity in both the classroom and related educational duties, including the use of new technologies such as online instruction.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to professional standards and growth.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • If required to drive on behalf of the college, must possess a valid Oregon Driver License and provide proof of an acceptable driving record.
