About The Position
Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education serving Central Virginia, including the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson. Located in Albemarle County, Virginia, PVCC is part of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) and is recognized for its transfer curriculum, its partnership with the University of Virginia, and its Workforce Development Programs. This position may involve teaching at various PVCC locations, including the Giuseppe Center in Greene County and correctional facilities in Fluvanna, Buckingham, and Dillwyn. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for openings as they occur, with review beginning immediately and continuing until positions are filled or the announcement closes. PVCC is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members for General Biology.
Requirements
- Qualified and interested adjunct faculty members in General Biology.
Responsibilities
- Teaching developmental and/or college-level courses.
- Teaching distance-learning courses.
- Teaching during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends.
- Primarily face-to-face instruction with the possibility of remote instruction.
