About The Position

Part-time adjunct faculty position in the Department of Physical Therapy. Adjunct faculty are employed on a semester-by-semester basis, as needed, and are non-tenure-earning. The appointments are for one (1) academic term at a time and possess no continuing contractual relationship with the University. This is a temporary appointment extended to an expert in a specific field to provide instruction in connection with an established program. The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
• Current Florida Physical Therapy License
• Clinical or academic experience in physical therapy
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Florida

Nice To Haves

• An earned post-professional doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD, ScD) in a related field
• Experience teaching in a Learning Management System (LMS), particularly Canvas
• Experience teaching graduate-level coursework in physical therapy

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned course(s) in accordance with the approved syllabus and course schedule
• Hold scheduled office hours with frequency and modality as negotiated with the acting program director and department chair
