About The Position

Illinois Central College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses in its Respiratory Therapy Program at the Peoria Campus. Day and evening course schedules are available. If courses are available, adjunct faculty may continue teaching in future semesters. This part-time position involves teaching up to 12 contact hours per semester. Faculty instruct assigned courses in accordance with institutional syllabi and classroom standards, maintain office hours, and support student success. Requirements

• Current Illinois license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• Experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Must be a resident of Illinois at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coordinate courses, including lecture and/or lab-based classes, ensuring necessary materials and tools are available and safety standards are met when appropriate.
• Follow assigned course syllabi and communicate classwork expectations and schedules.
• Maintain office hours and availability.
• Communicate with students and work to ensure their success.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to continually improve and adapt the student experience to meet student, community, and institutional needs.
• Perform related duties as required.
