The Health Sciences Department offers college-level Physical Therapist Assistant courses in the following formats: face-to-face. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and maintain College and department standards.
Requirements
- Graduation from a CAPTE accredited institution with a minimum of an associate’s degree in physical therapist assistant (PTA) or bachelor’s in physical therapy (PT)
- An unencumbered Florida license in PT or PTA is required to begin employment
- Successful results of a criminal background check is required
- Meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations
- Disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application
