About The Position

The College of Natural Sciences at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate and engaging adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction in Physical Chemistry II Lab at our Phoenix campus for the Fall 2026 Semester. This laboratory course is designed to complement and support the principles taught in CHM-444, covering topics such as quantum chemistry, molecular structure and spectra, molecular reaction dynamics, and statistical mechanics. GCU is a Christ-centered higher education institution that integrates faith, learning, and work, and values diversity among its students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

  • Master's in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Chemistry emphasizing Physical Chemistry
  • Attach unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
  • Attach unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Chemistry with emphasis in Physical Chemistry

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
