About The Position

Western New England University's Department of History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics is seeking an instructor for up to two online asynchronous sections of POSC 102 Introduction to American National Government for the Fall 2026 Semester (August 31, 2026 - December 18, 2026). Each section will have approximately 30 students. This course explores the fundamental structure of the U.S. Constitution and its established system of government, covering topics such as federalism, civil liberties, civil rights, governmental institutions, and citizen participation. A significant focus is placed on the critical analysis of contemporary political events. The course will be delivered online asynchronously using the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Political Science is required.
  • Ability to teach online asynchronous courses.
  • Submit a CV.
  • Submit a detailed course syllabus for online asynchronous instruction.
