Adjunct Faculty - Music
About The Position
Northern Essex Community College (NECC) is seeking instructors for its pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach various Music courses on an as-needed basis for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Successful applicants will be assigned to teach credit-bearing courses in various Music classes, including applied or ensemble. Classes are held on NECC's Haverhill campus. The college is seeking instructors for primarily day face-to-face classes, with a future possibility of online or hybrid instruction which would require successful completion of mandatory training. Adjunct faculty will play a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success. Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in music or related field
- Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Northern Essex Community College does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship.
- Successful completion and review of a background check which will include CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information).

Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
- Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, syllabus requirements, materials posted on the LMS, and required meetings.
