About The Position

Concordia University seeks qualified applicants for the position of Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Music. Teaching responsibilities include Applied Percussion and Advanced Applied Percussion during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters on the Mequon campus. Adjunct faculty reports to the chair and performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the university.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in subject to be taught
  • Effective teaching ability at the undergraduate level
  • Exhibits a willingness and ability to work with diverse individuals and organizations
  • Demonstrates effective leadership, organizational skills, and is a self-starter
  • Familiar with the university campus life
  • Able to deal with interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to present a Christian and professional manner
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • All candidates should possess an ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Is an active member of a Christian church
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Nice To Haves

  • University level teaching experience in a baccalaureate or higher degree program is preferred
