About The Position

North Shore Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach in its Medical Assisting Certificate Program. Requirements

Associate degree or higher in medical assisting or a degree in a related field with graduate-level credit in the subject area.
Evidence of commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body.
Knowledge of current Medical Assisting practices.
Evidence of successful prior Medical Assisting teaching in higher education.
Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Teach courses in lecture and lab as assigned by the Division Dean.
Develop each course in a hybrid modality.
Prepare course syllabi.
Proctor and grade course assessments for both lecture and laboratory as scheduled.
Report final student grades.
Complete student alerts by the specified dates each semester.
Develop and apply assessment strategies that maximize the learning process and measure student learning outcomes.

Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
