About The Position

Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Mathematics program. This position involves teaching up to 9 credit hours per semester, including undergraduate courses in College Algebra, Precalculus, Differential Equations, and Inferential Statistics. Faculty are contracted per course, with salary determined by education. The appointment is for the Fall and Spring semesters, August 2026 - May 2027. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
  • Provide cover letter, curriculum vitae, transcripts (unofficial acceptable), and contact information for three professional references.
  • Official transcripts are required for work to begin.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an adjunct faculty member for the mathematics program.
  • Teach up to 9 credit hours per semester.
  • Teach undergraduate courses including MATH 114 - College Algebra (Fall ‘26), MATH 144 - Precalculus (Fall ‘26), MATH 310 - Differential Equations (Spring ‘27), and STAT 220 - Inferential Statistics (Spring ‘27).
  • Conduct in-person teaching.
