Spring Adjunct Faculty (Mathematics) (Online)
About The Position
The Department of Mathematics and Physics is establishing a pool of qualified applicants for part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments teaching Mathematics online for Spring 2027. Successful applicants may teach up to six semester credit hours in the discipline, as determined by program needs, course schedules, and student demand. Duties include holding office hours and assisting students as needed. Appointments are temporary, assigned by semester, and made on an as-needed basis for Spring 2027 and/or applicable Spring 2027 sub-terms. Not all listed duties may apply to every appointment, and other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the general public.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work under stress and with pressing timelines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level.
