About The Position

The Human Performance & Movement Sciences Department at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants for an adjunct faculty position for the spring and fall semesters of the 2026-27 academic year. The department offers programs in Exercise Science, Sport & Recreation Management, and Physical Education. The classes are evidence-based and application-focused. The department is looking for dynamic faculty with professional experience in education, exercise, or sport. The majority of classes must be delivered in-person. This is a part-time, non-benefited position.

Requirements

  • Professional experiences in education, exercise, or sport.
  • Ability to deliver the majority of classes in-person.
  • Proficiency in using the college learning platform (Canvas) for attendance, grading, and posting course materials.
  • Ability to respond promptly to students and faculty.
  • Ability to accurately submit final grades.
  • Adherence to college policies regarding student accommodations and professional conduct.

  • Terminal degrees (for higher pay rate).

Responsibilities

  • Implementing a curriculum to meet course objectives (syllabi will be provided).
  • Leading and supervising interactive learning activities using multiple modalities such as presentation, readings, video, laboratory experiences, peer teaching evaluations, and skill practice.
  • Using the college learning platform (Canvas) for attendance, grading, and posting course materials.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as timely responses to students and HPMS faculty, and accurate submission of final grades.
  • Following college policies regarding student accommodations and professional conduct.
