About The Position

Seattle Pacific University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach a graduate-level education course, EDAD 7584, in the fall quarter of 2026. This course focuses on understanding resources and their impact on educational leaders, exploring linkages between stakeholders and competing interests, and emphasizing the mission of a learning organization in relation to resource management decisions. The course is designed to prepare educators for school district leadership roles. Adjunct educators are hired on a contractual, part-time basis for specified quarters and are responsible for developing syllabi and assignments, teaching classes, and assessing student performance.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Education Administration, or Terminal degree in related field, or excellent instructional skills
  • Terminal degree in another field with heavy emphasis on writing
  • A personal commitment to Christian faith, enthusiasm about supporting SPU's mission, alignment with the University's Statement of Faith, and willingness to accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.
  • A comfortability discussing the intersection of faith and education with students
