About The Position

The Office of First-Year Experience at Texas A&M University-San Antonio is seeking applications from qualified candidates for multiple part-time (adjunct) faculty positions starting fall 2026. Successful candidates will teach our First-Year Seminar (FYS) undergraduate courses (UNIV 1301). Compensation: $3,000 per 3-credit course. Successful candidates are expected to do the following: Teach 3-12 credit hours of UNIV 1301 courses per semester. Participate in internal professional development sessions 1x per month. Support FYS Peer Leader/s through mentorship and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education, psychology, counseling or related fields, from a regionally accredited institution.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a higher education setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral Degree (Ed.D or Ph.D) in education, psychology, counseling or related fields.
  • College/University teaching experience.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (Blackboard)
  • Effective communications skills.
  • Familiarity with a non-traditional commuter University setting.

Responsibilities
