About The Position

The Accounting and Finance Department is searching for adjunct instructors in finance. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in finance, primarily in a traditional classroom (in-person) format. Areas of instruction may include corporate finance, investments, financial planning and CFP-related topics, and FinTech, including digital assets, cryptocurrency and blockchain applications. Candidates who can integrate current industry practices, emerging financial technologies, and applied financial analysis into classroom instruction are especially encouraged to apply. Prior college teaching, corporate training, or professional instructional experience is strongly preferred, with evidence of effective teaching and student engagement. Please note: fully online instructors need not apply.

Requirements

  • Masters in finance, MBA, or a closely related discipline.
  • Current professional experience, substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility, which is linked to the fields of accounting or finance.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior college teaching, corporate training, or professional instructional experience.
  • Evidence of effective teaching and student engagement.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CFP, CFA, FRM, CAIA).
  • Daytime availability.

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • A minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught.
  • A maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
