About The Position

The Adjunct Faculty role includes primary responsibility for providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment with an emphasis placed on teaching, supporting and evaluating students. Assigned courses may be for face to face or online instruction.

Requirements

• Minimum of an earned Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in field appropriate to the teaching discipline, from a regionally accredited college or university
• Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or a related graduate degree
• Commitment to collaborative & collegiate relationships
• Maintain confidential and sensitive information
• Knowledge of higher education regulations, compliance and accrediting agencies
• Computer proficiency
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner and work effectively with faculty, staff, students and members of the professional community
• Excellent multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Delivering course content effectively in an online delivery mode using strong facilitation skills.
• Assessing and grading assignments with appropriate and timely responses, support, and feedback to students.
• Demonstrating the ability to connect theory and practice to careers in the fitness/clinical exercise physiology industry.
• Engage and interact with students on a regular basis in discussions, emails, announcements, phone conversations, online sessions
