About The Position

For Summer 2026, we are seeking an instructor for Introduction to Teaching (EDU101) as part of the CTE Educator initiative with the Greater Lawrence Technical School. This accelerated course will run from June 29 through August 7, 2026, and will be offered in a face-to-face format. We are additionally seeking instructors to join our Adjunct Faculty pool to teach Education and CTE Educator-related courses on an as-needed basis. Classes are typically offered at NECC's Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses during daytime and evening hours, as well as online, face-to-face, and in hybrid formats. Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.

Requirements

Master's degree in Education or related field
Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level
Experience using technology in instruction and assessment
All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Northern Essex Community College does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion and review of a background check which will include CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information).

Responsibilities

Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, and syllabus requirements.
