Adjunct Faculty - Educational Studies
About The Position
Northern Essex Community College (NECC) is seeking an instructor for Introduction to Teaching (EDU101) for Summer 2026, as part of the CTE Educator initiative with the Greater Lawrence Technical School. This accelerated, face-to-face course will run from June 29 through August 7, 2026. Additionally, NECC is seeking instructors to join its Adjunct Faculty pool to teach Education and CTE Educator-related courses on an as-needed basis. These courses are typically offered at NECC's Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses during daytime and evening hours, and can be delivered online, face-to-face, or in hybrid formats. Positions are contingent upon sufficient enrollment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Education or related field
- Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level
- Experience using technology in instruction and assessment
Nice To Haves
- Community College teaching experience
- Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning
- Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
- Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, and syllabus requirements.
