About The Position

Teaching PHY I21 and/or PHY I22 and/or PHY 201

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in physics or appropriate engineering discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate-level coursework in appropriate physics and/or engineering courses; or master’s degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in graduate-level physics.
  • A resume and cover letter are required to complete the application process
  • Official transcripts required upon hire
  • Employment is contingent upon Criminal Background Check.
  • Employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching algebra-based at the college level
  • Use of microcomputer-based labs
  • Ability to work with course management systems such as Blackboard are preferred qualifications.
  • The teaching requirement may be fulfilled through a program of supervised teaching as a graduate student.
