Lesley University's department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is seeking a highly qualified adjunct faculty member to teach CPHYS 1308: General Chemistry I with Lab for the Fall Semester of 2026. This course is scheduled to meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and will be conducted in-person on campus. The course introduces fundamental principles of inorganic and organic chemistry, including atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, and molecular structure. These concepts are explored through contemporary applications and issues such as pollution, pesticides, forensic science, pharmaceuticals, and energy technologies, with an emphasis on their implications for public policy, environmental sustainability, and human health. A required student project will foster scientific inquiry and critical analysis. The course includes both lecture and laboratory components.
