About The Position

Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for its Graduate Counseling program. This position involves teaching up to 9 credit hours per semester, with courses offered in both the fall and spring semesters. The role requires in-person teaching of graduate-level courses, including Supervision and Consultation, Marriage and Family Counseling, Career Counseling, Counseling Research and Program Evaluation, Practicum, Internship 1, and Internship 2. Faculty are contracted per course, with salary determined by education level. The appointment is for the Fall and Spring semesters, August 2026 - May 2027. Requirements

  • PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision or terminal degree in a related field.
  • Master’s degree in counseling with significant clinical experience and/or doctoral credits.
  • Official transcripts are required for work to begin.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an adjunct faculty member for the graduate counseling program.
  • Teach up to 9 credit hours per semester.
  • Conduct in-person teaching of graduate courses.
  • Teach courses including, but not limited to: COUN 509: Supervision and Consultation, COUN 627: Marriage and Family Counseling, COUN 637: Career Counseling, COUN 536: Counseling Research and Program Evaluation, COUN 528: Practicum, COUN 689: Internship 1, and COUN 690: Internship 2.
