About The Position

George Fox University, a Christ-centered institution, invites applications for a part-time adjunct instructor position within the College of Education Administrator Licensure Program. Adjunct instructors play a crucial role in delivering high-quality graduate-level instruction centered on equity-minded instructional leadership. Instructors will prioritize student engagement through an asynchronous virtual format within a supportive Christian learning environment. Requirements

  • A master's degree and current principal license in the state of Oregon.
  • A minimum of 4 years of highly successful school level principal experience in Oregon.
  • Demonstrated expertise in subject matter and commitment to teaching aspiring school/district office leaders.
  • Recent experience working as a building or district office administrator in Oregon
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • A background in early literacy and/or the Science of Reading.
  • A depth of knowledge using data to inform decision making as an educational leader.
  • A current Professional Administrator License in Oregon (ProAL).
  • Familiarity with online teaching modalities.
  • Strong experience in the field related to the subject matter being taught.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in alignment with the university's mission and learning objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies that promote student engagement.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
  • Utilize the university's learning management system (Canvas) for course management.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to university policies.
  • Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
  • By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Adjunct faculty are paid on a per credit hour basis, commensurate with education and experience.
