About The Position

Indiana Tech is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach chemistry courses in the Day School on the Fort Wayne Campus. This role will focus on courses within the life and physical sciences, specifically General Chemistry I or II lecture or laboratory, or Introductory Chemistry. Indiana Tech is a teaching-oriented university offering a wide range of career-focused programs and serving a diverse student population.

Requirements

• Minimum of master’s degree in appropriate discipline
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in qualitative or quantitative research as well as use of the Scientific Method in the relevant field

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate preferred
• Previous teaching experience on the college level preferred
• Knowledge of Canvas, Microsoft Office, and web-based teaching tools, preferred
• Student-centered teaching approaches

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in chemistry offered in the Day School on the Fort Wayne Campus, specific to the life and physical sciences, particularly General Chemistry I or II lecture or laboratory or Introductory Chemistry.
• Fulfill teaching requirements as outlined in course objectives and Indiana Tech Policy & Procedures.
