About The Position

The Adjunct Faculty - Clinic Dentist is primarily responsible for supervising clinical procedures and patient referrals. The role contributes to a positive working and learning environment and supports cooperative teaching and learning in the clinic. The dentist provides supervision of dental and dental hygiene care to MCPHS University patients, follows clinic policies and procedures, and adheres to HIPAA protocols. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts license as a Dentist.
• Current CPR certification.
• Background in educational methodology.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical procedures and patient referrals.
• Contribute to a positive working and learning environment.
• Attend and contribute to faculty calibration meetings.
• Maintain a current Massachusetts license and CPR certification.
• Attend faculty development programs.
• Work with the clinical supervisor to facilitate cooperative teaching and learning.
• Supervise dental and dental hygiene care provided to MCPHS University patients.
• Write progress reports.
• Follow clinic policies and procedures outlined in the CPM.
• Assist clinic supervisors with yearly revisions of the CPM.
• Assist the clinic manager with maintaining necessary emergency supplies and equipment.
• Assist in emergencies.
• Assist the Professional Services Director.
• Follow all HIPAA protocols.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
