Requirements

Recent clinical experience and knowledge of the assigned clinical rotation.
Basic understanding of electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Ability to assess and evaluate student performance.
Ability to communicate with all stakeholders.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing.
Ability to create a climate conducive to learning.
Ability to role model professional behaviors.
Active, unencumbered Florida RN or APRN license.
Current immunizations (as required by clinical facilities).
Basic Life Support and/or other certifications related to the teaching assignment.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Nice To Haves

Clinical and classroom teaching experience in an undergraduate nursing program.
Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

Teach, supervise, and evaluate students in clinical settings such as hospitals, community health centers, skill labs, or simulation labs.
Identify appropriate clinical assignments that align with course objectives.
Facilitate students in meeting course objectives by providing relevant learning experiences.
Evaluate student performance in relation to clinical objectives.
Maintain communication with the course lead faculty and the Director of Clinical Services.
Attend all required NSU and clinical facility training and orientation programs.
Complete lab referrals for individual students as needed.
Complete anecdotal records for individual students as needed.
Maintain professional relationships with clinical facilities.
