About The Position

We are seeking instructors for our pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach various Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology courses on an as-needed basis for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Semesters. Successful applicants would teach 3-credit courses in Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, or Cultural Anthropology. Classes are held on NECC's Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses. Seeking instructors for primarily day and evening face-to-face classes, which could include Early College classes. Future possibility of online or hybrid instruction exists and would require successful completion of mandatory training. Adjunct faculty will play a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success. Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in related academic discipline
  • Experience teaching in a related academic discipline at the college level
  • Experience using technology in instruction and assessment

Nice To Haves

  • Community College teaching experience
  • Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
  • Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, syllabus requirements, materials posted on the LMS, and required meetings.

Benefits

  • $1,512.00/credit - $1,826.00/credit, per credit based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, non-benefited.
