About The Position
The program in American Studies is seeking adjuncts to teach Introduction to American Studies, and other courses in the American Studies program as necessary. This course introduces students to the interdisciplinary practice of American Studies in an engaging way, with special emphasis on the application of American cultural studies to a variety of future careers. Other courses include Interdisciplinary Research and Writing, American Studies in the Classroom, and Senior Seminar.
Requirements
- Appropriate graduate degree
- Experience teaching in American Studies or a related field
- Eligible to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Teach Introduction to American Studies
- Teach other courses in the American Studies program as necessary
- Teach Interdisciplinary Research and Writing
- Teach American Studies in the Classroom
- Teach Senior Seminar
Benefits
- Minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught
- Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year
