About The Position
The English Department at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach undergraduate courses during the 2026-2027 academic year. Specifically, the instructor will teach English BC3108 Introduction to Fiction Writing in Spring 2027. Exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in a related discipline, with all requirements for the degree completed by the time of hiring offer.
- CV
- Statement of interest (including teaching philosophy, most relevant prior teaching experience, advanced pedagogical or relevant training)
- Identify three references, including one with direct knowledge of their teaching capabilities (for finalists)
