About The Position
Oakland Community College (OCC) is a multi-campus institution in Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing quality learning opportunities. Adjunct Faculty Instructors are expected to utilize modern technology in the classroom. Applications are accepted continuously for an adjunct candidate pool, and instructors are hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year based on enrollment. When a need arises, candidates from the pool are reviewed, and the Department will contact them directly. Candidates without legal residence in Michigan will be Edustaff employees, with employment offers, salary, and benefits provided by Edustaff, not OCC. Applicants must include a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts for all degrees. Transcripts must show the degree award date, and official transcripts will be required within 30 days of hire if selected.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene
- 1-year experience
- Current Michigan license as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Certification in Local Anesthesia
- Certification in Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Sedation
- Resume
- Cover letter
- Copies of unofficial transcripts (showing date degree was conferred)
- Valid license copy
- Certification copy

Responsibilities
- Oversee Dental Hygiene students, ranging from basic to advanced skill levels.
- Maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications where applicable.
