Saint Josephs University’s Department of Decision and System Sciences is seeking qualified candidates with a demonstrated interest in areas associated with business intelligence & analytics: decision support systems, database, data mining, AI/Machine Learning, data wrangling, data visualization, Python and/or R programming, supply chain management modeling, cyber analytics, statistics and/or business analytics. Experience using data analytics application software is highly desirable. Use established course content and materials to teach course(s) either on campus or online (course masters must be adhered to); prepare course materials; participate in Assurance of Learning activities, and provide support and guidance to students. Cooperating with course coordinators or other program faculty to assure quality and consistency across the program. Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) offers a wide variety of bachelor's, master's, doctoral, associate and certificate programs. With a commitment to personalized attention through a low faculty to student ratio, SJU may call on the expertise of adjunct instructors to complement the work of full-time faculty across all of its colleges and schools. SJU appoints part-time, non-tenure track adjunct instructors on a semester-to-semester basis with no guarantee of consecutive appointments. Re-appointment is based on university need, student enrollment, and satisfactory performance. Applicants for these positions are screened on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the department chair. Compensation for adjunct instructors is commensurate with educational credentials, professional, experience and instructional background. Adjunct instructors are bound to the terms and conditions of employment at Saint Joseph’s University, including but not limited to the Faculty Handbook.
