About The Position

Newman University, a mission-driven, Catholic, liberal arts university, is recruiting for an adjunct position to teach course(s) for our Doctor of Business Administration Program. Minimum qualifications include at least a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration (or equivalent) with specific graduate level hours / knowledge particular towards the subject are. Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • An earned Doctoral degree in Business Administration (or equivalent) or Marketing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with university faculty and staff, students, and the general public.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches courses appropriate to academic qualifications.
  • Proficiency in online and face to face learning environments.
  • Inform students of their progress by promptly returning graded assignments, quizzes, and examinations with appropriate feedback.
  • Submit mid-term and final grades on Jet Stream by designated deadlines.
  • Utilize the Learning Management Systems, i.e. Canvas, and other technology as appropriate.
  • Report performance assessment data as required/requested.
  • Consult with the Dean or Assistant Dean of the School of Business regarding concerns.
