About The Position

Marymount University is seeking to build a pool of qualified individuals to teach Clinical Nursing Courses at local hospitals or clinical sites. Qualified applicants will be contacted as teaching needs arise. The role involves providing a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis, acting as a teacher and facilitator of learning for specific courses within a department. The department chair will review all assigned duties pertinent to the course being taught.

Requirements

• Bachelors in nursing or a related field
• Current RN license; VA required or Compact, DC preferred
• Master’s degree required; PhD degree in related field preferred for graduate teaching

Responsibilities

• Teach designated courses
• Maintains office hours as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Adjuncts receive remuneration on a semester basis, which starts at $2,160 per semester based on a 40 hour clinical rotation.
