About The Position

Wilkes University seeks candidates for open positions as Adjunct Clinical Instructors in the Passan School of Nursing (PSON). The PSON provides comprehensive programming which has expanded professional opportunities for undergraduate students. The undergraduate program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The successful candidate will be tasked with teaching, supervising, and evaluating Wilkes University nursing students in clinical practice experiences. Instructors will collaborate with nursing faculty on skill demonstration, observe student skill demonstrations, and assign clinical activities that correlate with theoretical objectives. Instructors will also provide critiques and evaluate students' clinical performance and participates in clinical agency orientation program. The following nursing specialties are needed: geriatric, medical-surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics and psychiatric/mental health nursing.

Requirements

  • A masters degree in nursing is required.
  • Must hold a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to four years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.
