About The Position

The Division of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is seeking applicants for an adjunct respiratory care clinical instructor position beginning in Spring 2027 to teach in the The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown’s Respiratory Care Program. The program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). The associate degree program's goal is to prepare graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRTs). Primary responsibilities include teaching students in the clinical setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year degree with an active RRT credential.
  • Must exhibit a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level.
  • Currency of clinical practice.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in neonatal, pediatric, and intensive care.

  • Previous teaching experience.
