The Art and Art History Department at Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) seeks an adjunct instructor to teach a beginning-level ceramics course for the fall 2026 semester. SJU is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to students, and demonstrates the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner. SJU offers a wide variety of degree programs and appoints part-time, non-tenure track adjunct instructors on a semester-to-semester basis with no guarantee of consecutive appointments. Re-appointment is based on university need, student enrollment, and satisfactory performance. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the department chair. Compensation for adjunct instructors is commensurate with educational credentials, professional experience, and instructional background. Adjunct instructors are bound to the terms and conditions of employment at Saint Joseph’s University, including the Faculty Handbook.
