About The Position

This role is about something bigger than just updating resumes. As an Adjunct Career Services Instructor at ACI Learning, you will be instrumental in helping students who have completed their IT training to land jobs that can change their lives. You will deliver live instruction, coach students through job search anxieties, and ensure your work produces tangible outcomes. This is a part-time, on-site role in Colorado Springs, CO, designed for individuals with prior experience in this field who understand the difference between simply going through the motions and genuinely helping people advance their careers.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Education, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in career services, workforce development, recruiting, or adult education.
  • Real working knowledge of job search tools such as LinkedIn, resume platforms, and ATS systems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Organizational discipline to manage multiple cohorts and meet deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to teach at least one class per quarter when cohorts are available.
  • Availability to participate in deliverable reviews at least once per month as needed.
  • Consistent, high-quality execution against student readiness targets (90%+ of students finishing the course with a finalized resume, LinkedIn profile, and Prentus profile).
  • Maintaining a CourseCheck instructor rating of 4.8 or above, with an 80%+ survey response rate and student attendance rate per cohort.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with IT and cybersecurity career pathways and employer expectations.
  • Experience teaching or facilitating virtually (e.g., on Zoom).
  • Background in post-secondary, vocational, or technical education as an instructor, coach, or mentor.
  • Experience with CRM or career services platforms for tracking student progress.
  • Genuine fluency with online professional branding and networking strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 20 hours of live instruction per cohort, utilizing a provided curriculum to prepare students for IT job readiness.
  • Build rapport quickly with students and adapt instruction to their current understanding.
  • Create a classroom environment that fosters student confidence and encourages honesty about knowledge gaps.
  • Review student deliverables, including resumes and LinkedIn profiles, for up to 5 hours outside of live sessions.
  • Provide direct and useful feedback on student work.
  • Track student progress in CareerConnect and document module deliverable completion.
  • Identify students at risk of falling behind and flag them.
  • Provide feedback on the curriculum and suggest improvements for better student engagement and learning.
