About The Position

The Adjunct Biology Instructor is responsible for teaching part-time as needed, providing effective instruction in contracted biology courses. This role involves utilizing innovative teaching strategies and incorporating new technologies, implementing evaluation methods to measure student attainment of competencies, and ensuring students understand their performance. A safe and orderly learning environment must be maintained in all instructional settings. The instructor is expected to model professional behavior, submit reports accurately and on time, and maintain academic, attendance, and student records. Active participation in professional development is required. The instructor contributes to the College’s Purpose and Goals and reports to the Science Department Chair.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Biology or a related field
At least 18 graduate-level credit hours from a regionally accredited institution
Strong oral and written communication skills
Computer proficiency
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience is preferred
Proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable

Responsibilities
