About The Position

The School of Education & Behavioral Studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach online courses in Leadership and Behavioral Science and/or master-level courses in Ethics and Organizational Behavior. The role requires a strong commitment to the Christian faith and excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service. The school prepares highly competent, Christ-centered teachers who view education through the lens of whole-person development. Palm Beach Atlantic University is a comprehensive Christian university whose mission is to equip students to grow in wisdom, lead with conviction, and serve God boldly, emphasizing moral, spiritual, and intellectual development.

This is a part-time position. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Faculty deliver established course content and objectives, teach asynchronously through online discussions, communicate with students, grade work, and meet virtually with students as needed. Online synchronous sessions are voluntary and typically occur twice per course.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree or equivalent experience.
• PhD, EdD, or PsyD degree with research experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in the discipline.
• Commitment to teaching excellence and service to the college, university, and community.
• Demonstrated Christian commitment and ability to integrate faith into coursework.
• Include at least three references in the CV submitted through the university career portal.

• Prior collegiate-level teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver established course content while meeting all course objectives.
• Communicate with students through announcements, email, and Canvas inbox or messaging.
• Teach asynchronously by guiding online course discussions.
• Conduct voluntary online synchronous sessions, typically two per course.
• Grade student work—including assignments, quizzes, discussions, research papers, and projects—in a timely manner and in accordance with established rubrics.
• Meet virtually with students as needed.
• Perform other course administration duties, such as attendance verification.
