About The Position

Valparaiso University's Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL) program seeks highly qualified Adjunct Assistant Professors to join their interdisciplinary team, beginning January 2027. This 100% online, asynchronous program, housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, is designed to prepare students to explore values-based leadership. A dedicated pool of adjunct faculty will play a critical role in delivering transformative educational experiences across seven-week course sessions throughout the academic year. This is a semester-by-semester appointment teaching one to two courses per semester.

Requirements

  • Earned doctorate in Organizational Leadership or a closely related field.
  • Job history and professional qualifications will be considered as a substitute for a doctorate on a case-by-case basis.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in an asynchronous format and a commitment to values-based leadership.
  • Ability to connect leadership theory to practical applications in sectors such as non-profit, government, higher education, and additional contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate graduate-level instruction in a fully online, asynchronous environment using best practices for digital engagement.
  • Ensure all courses align with the program's values-based leadership framework and Quality Matters (QM) design standards.
  • Provide substantive feedback and guidance to graduate students appropriate to their personal and professional goals.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director and the Center of Innovation, Teaching, Assessment, and Learning (CITAL) to maintain high standards regarding course design, teaching, and learning.
